Edaphic oribatids from Brazil (X): Some oribatids from Para State

Eight new species of soil oribatid mites are described from Para State (Brazil) and a new genus is established. Fifteen previously known species are also recorded. The new species are: Protophthiracarus paraensis n. sp., Xenillus amazonensis n.sp., Cultroribula brasilensis n. sp., Oxioppia (Oxioppiella) taurus n. SP., Aeroppia abdita n. sp., Teratoppiella ardua n. sp., Pergalumna bellesii n, sp. and Belemacarus amazonicus n. g. et n. sp. The new genus Belemacarus belongs to the family Ceratokalummidae.
