摘要
At the national level, there are few studies that analyze the influence of parenting on adolescent well-being and that also differentiate parenting styles and practices. Predictive models of well-being in schooled adolescents are established based on parenting styles and practices in 544 Chilean youths (55% female) aged 13 to 18 years. Two hierarchical regressions were performed in series, in the first series subjective well-being (SB) is considered as DV and in a second one psychological well-being (BP). The results show high correlations between the variables and suggest that the best predictive model of adolescent BS is constructed from the parental style, which incorporates the dimension Responsivity/Quality and from the Monitoring, as parental practice. In addition, the influence of parenting on BP is corroborated. This opens a line of work aimed at investigating the factors that influence the relationships between parents and adolescent children. These results could be replicated in other regions and finally translated into concrete inputs at the time of generating youth intervention programs.
