摘要
This paper presents the adopted approach to achieve ubiquitous and accurate positioning for smartphones and tablets in the Edumotion platform. It is based on loosely coupling WiFi-based positioning and GNSS, and puts special emphasis on the positioning handover method for indoor/outdoor transitions. The achieved handover solution tries to overcome the limitations of existing proposals in order to maximize positioning performance and user experience independently of the kind of user and scenario, while guaranteeing an easy and generic deployment. First tests in different kinds of scenarios demonstrate the validity of the proposed method.
