The Ewha Music Database (EMDB) and its system are being developed to store and share music information of East Asia through the project "Establishing a Music Education Database of Modern East Asian Music," funded by the National Research Foundation Korea. In order to tackle problems that have arisen due to a lack of a proper establishment of primary sources in East Asian music, the EMDB offers a user-friendly web-based content management system to register and search for information on East Asian music. It will become one of the new and powerful research tools to provide much needed materials efficiently and effectively and form the foundation of a unified primary sources repository for modern music of East Asia.
