摘要
At present, blended learning seems to be a commonly used methodology in all educational settings. The purpose of this study is to analyze and evaluate the blended learning approach and its learning materials in the Course of Business English taught at the Faculty of Informatics and Management in Hradec Kralove, Czech Republic, and discuss its efficacy as far as the learning outcomes are concerned within a wider international setting. The methods include a method of literature search of available sources describing this issue in the world's acknowledged databases Web of Science, Scopus, and ScienceDirect, and a method of comparison and evaluation of the findings from the selected studies on the research topic. In order to analyze and evaluate the blended learning methodology used in the Course of Business English, a case study approach, as well as a questionnaire survey and online course reports were used. Although the findings of this study and other research studies confirm the prevalence of the use of blended learning, its effectiveness is still rather inconclusive. Therefore more experimental studies on the effectiveness of the blended learning approach are needed.
