A high energy deuteron polarimeter to study the 3He structure

摘要
We present the results obtained at SATURNE on the measurement of the vector and tensor polarization of deuterons at high energy. A polarimeter based on d + p elastic scattering has been recently built and it has been used to measure the induced tensor deuteron polarization in the H-1(He-3, (d) over right arrow)X reaction. In case of availability of a polarized He-3 beam, other polarization observables can be measured. This reaction constitutes a different approach in the study of the He-3-structure at short distances.
