HOSPITAL EDUCATION: INTER-RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN FORMAL AND NON-FORMAL EDUCATION

摘要
The objective of this study is to analyze hospital education and its interrelation with formal and non-formal education. To achieve this, we conducted a theoretical research with a qualitative approach and a bibliographic character. In developing the topic, we entered into the concepts of formal and non-formal education, approached hospital education and the elements that involve it, seeking to reveal evidence of the interface between the two forms of education in the educational assistance offered to children receiving health care treatment. The results reveal that hospital education seeks the school progress of the hospitalized child, promoting curricular content knowledge, but also shows that timely learning needs to consider knowledge about the environment, the disease and the treatment, educational constructs developed in a flexible and contextualized way, and adapted to the singularities of the children and the hospital space. Notes highlighting the meeting of formal and non-formal education in educational care for hospitalized children.
