摘要：
This paper present a method of approximated the hyperbolic profile of the rolls used for the VRM straightening machine. The hyperbolic profile needed for the VRM tools is usually replaced by a simple curve. This conduct to rapid tools wear. By using a mathematical and graphical method one is able to shorten the design and set-up time for the VRM tubes straightening machine. The results obtained from the mathematical algorithm are check with the 3D parametrical model.
