Jejunojejunal intussusception in a tomcat caused by a jejunal leiomyoma

A fifteen years old male castrated domestic shorthair cat was presented with a history of anorexia, weight loss and chronic diarrhea. The physical examination revealed a mass in the middle of the abdomen, in the ultrasonographic examination it was shown as intussusception. A part of the intussuscepted bowel showed a thickened wall and a changed wall structure. The jejunojejunal intussusception could be resolved surgically and the thickened part of the gut was resected. The pathohistologic examination showed a leiomyoma of the jejunum; we suspect the jejunojejunal intussusception secondary to the jejunal leiomyoma.
