摘要
This paper introduces a liquid metal reconfigurable antenna. While liquid metal devices are not new, non-toxic gallium based liquid metals have caused an increase in research for related applications. Stretchable liquid metal antennas can provide the reconfigurability for wideband applications in addition to applications requiring beam control. This research focuses on the design of a stretchable liquid metal monopole at 2.4 GHz. The model was simulated using CST and initial results are documented to verify the efficacy of liquid metals as a possible antenna material.
