摘要：
Future of hard coal industry in Poland depends on the policy of the government. Paper discusses the most important problems facing the coal industry. It describes the current situation and prospects after accession to the European Union. Paper presents also the discussion on hard coal prospects in the world. More important problems, standing in front of mines and companies, on the background of the world situation on coal markets are signalled. Also the fuel policy realized according to government programmes is evaluated in the synthetic way.
