摘要
The pressure effects on melting temperature and shear modulus of MgO have been studied based on the semi-empirical approach in the Debye model. Numerical calculations have been performed up to 350 GPa. The present results contribute to the database of high-pressure melting. The melting points of MgO at the core-mantle boundary (135 GPa) pressure and inner-core boundary (330 GPa) pressure are predicted, respectively, about 6,950 and 10,000 K.
