Tests of the wire ageing induced by radiation in the barrel muon chambers of the CMS experiment at LHC

摘要
We show experimental results about the wire ageing induced by pollutants in Ar/CO2 gas irradiated by X-rays. The tests are important for the barrel muon chambers of the CMS experiment at the LHC, because they should operate for 10 years in a radiation field (muons, neutrons, gamma's).
