摘要：
Two simple protocols for the synthesis of the easily separable trans/cis-octahydroacridines are reported. These involve intramolecular aza-Diels-Alder reaction of N-arylimines produced in situ from citronellal and aryl amines, either in the presence of 10 mol% TiCl3 or in trifluoroethanol without any additional catalyst.
