摘要
A printed diverity dipole antenna suitable for applications in wireless local area network (WLAN) access points in the 2.4 GHz (2400-2484 WHz) and 5.2 GHz (5150-5350 MHz) bands is presented. The antenna comprised two stacked printed dipoles placed back-to-back. Each stacked dipole consists of two larger dipole anns for 2.4-GHz band operation and two smaller dipole anns for 5.2-GHz band operation. Ill addition, the proposed antenna call provide spatial diversity, because the obtained radiation patterns of the two stacked dipoles are directional in two complementary half spaces and the access point call thus switch between the two stacked dipoles for WLAN communication with maximum signal strength. results of a constructed prototype are presented.
