Observations versus theory:: The δ Scuti star CD-24 7599

摘要：
We present preliminary results of our theoretical efforts to reproduce the observed frequency spectrum of the delta Scuti star CD-24 7599 = XX Pyx. An attempt to match the observed frequencies by an objective method resulted in several best fitting model sequences; We cannot yet reproduce the observed frequencies within the observational errors. This suggests that both definite mode identifications from observations as well as further refinements of our models are needed.
