Temperature Dependence of Heat Capacity in the Kitaev-Heisenberg Model on a Honeycomb Lattice

摘要
We calculate the temperature dependence of the heat capacity per spin, C(T), for quantum and classical Kitaev-Heisenberg (qKH and cKH, respectively) models on a honeycomb lattice. In the qKH model, C(T) shows two peaks in the magnetically ordered phase near the Kitaev spin-liquid phase, while a single peak becomes prominent in the cKH model. The prominent peak corresponds to the low-temperature peak observed in the qKH model.
