Study of Information Management of Large-scale Projects Based on BIM

At present, the architecture industry has also welcomed an unprecedented peak time along with fast economic development of our country. The proportion of the large-scale projects which occupies in the social fixed assets investment is also getting higher and higher. Large-scale projects' own characteristics determine its' huge amount of information. If its information lack of management, that will make the efficiency and accuracy of the transmission of information greatly reduced, resulting in the low efficiency of the project management. This article holds that the integration of information is the key to the information management of projects, and an important way of information integration is to construct building information model. After analyzing the characteristics of information management of the large-scale projects, this article introduced the concept of the building information model. On the basis of that, this article researched information management of the large-scale projects based on the building information model, and finally discussed the suggestions of successful uses of building information model in information management of large-scale projects.
