摘要
Water lubricated stern bearing is a very important part of the ship propulsion system. It has influenced many properties of the safe operation of the ship. At the same time, the whole noise level of the ship is also influenced by stern bearing. The paper investigates the strength and friction properties of low-friction water-lubricated materials for ship propeller bearing. For the design requirements of the water-lubricated ship propeller bearing, the water lubricated materials were made by using nitrile composite.By using different proportion of extenders, the friction properties of the samples under water lubrication condition were measured,in order to find out the best formula of the extenders. The result show that materials with wear-resisting agent not only have low friction coefficient, but also show better anti friction properties. This material can meet the requirements for ship propeller bearing better.
