The environments of pre-main sequence stars: Brown dwarf companions and circumstellar disk evolution

摘要
To understand the circumstellar environments of young stars it is important to distinguish between evolutionary effects observable for single star+disk systems and the dynamical effects of low-mass companions on the disks of primary stars. In this contribution we outline our attempt at disentangling these processes, describe new results for one particularly interesting system in the Taurus dark cloud, and summarize preliminary results of our study.
