Narcolepsy-catalepsy as the first manifestation of Behcet's syndrome

摘要：
Gelineau's syndrome is currently defined on the basis of clinical and polygraphic criteria. The main symptoms are excessive daytime sleepiness, involuntary daytime sleep episodes, attacks of cataplexy, hypnagogic hallucinations, sleep paralysis, and direct wake-to-REM sleep transitions. The first known case of Gelineau's syndrome due to Behcet's disease is reported herein. The pathophysiology of this combination is discussed in the light of current data.
