摘要
We investigated oxygen ionic conduction in fully dense, transparent polycrystalline yttrium-doped zirconia with an average grain size of similar to 45 nm. We observed that the oxygen ionic conductivity across single grain boundaries in the nanostructured ceramic is 1 order of magnitude greater than that of the corresponding microstructured ceramic. Such an enhancement in the grain boundary is attributed to the high density of the sample.
