Contemporary youth value orientations

Contemporary youth value orientations (by Valentin Semyenov) bases on empirical study data gathered by the author in St-Petersburg. The data permitted to disclose some blatant clashes between pro-social moral character of the youth education policies with the anti-social amoral character dominant in the leisure infrastructure and mass media actions in contemporary Russia. In particular, civic virtues of citizens are forgotten, along with the due labor, patriotic and moral formation of the young characters. As a result of the study some measures of practical nature are suggested especially in the way of government and public actions to work out respective legislation and, more generally, to create sound spiritual and moral atmosphere in the country.
