Adoption of the Evolutionary Algorithm to Automate the Scheduling of the Production Processes

摘要
The subject of the paper is to present an effective method for planning of decomposable processes. A new method for engineering projects planning and scheduling is presented, which is particularly useful at optimization of iterative processes. This method is based upon the decomposition of the project into a system of interconnected tasks which are recorded in the form of dependency matrix. An evolutionary algorithm has been devised, which generates populations of feasible processes and selects the best ones in terms of cost and duration of the design realization process. Successful implementation of the method on an industrial design problem has been demonstrated.
