Pragmatism and the internationalization of the philosophical debate in 1910

This text is an attempt to assess what is topical in European philosophy on the eve of the First World War. New forms of circulation of ideas develop around pragmatism, an American philosophy par excellence. These forms are associated with novelty and international dimension. The way by with pragmatism occupies the attention space is shown, as well as the partial reshaping of philosophical networks in France. The unexpected importance of the relationship between philosophy and religion is analyzed and the notion of national philosophy is questioned.
