摘要
Eco-friendly sources of energy like solar are available in abundance and operate at low voltage. The output photovoltaic voltage can be increased by passive clamp-based DC-DC converter which employs coupled inductor. The energy from the source is preserved in inductor and in intermediate condenser. The passive clamp supports in regaining the inductor leakage energy and thus improves the converter voltage gain. Passive clamp network also reducess the conduction losses in power switchs. The photovoltaic voltage of 34 V is boosted to 340 V by the converter. A prototype is modeled to verify the results of simulation. The simulation is carried out in MATLAB/Simulink, and the prototype is implemented.
