A Luminescent Eight-Coordinated 2D Cd(II) Framework Material with Flexible Multi-Carboxylate Ligand

摘要
A new coordination polymer of Cd(II), viz., [Cd(ODPA)[image omitted] 2CH3CH2OH[image omitted]2H2O]n (H4ODPA = 2,2',3,3'-oxydiphthalic acid) (1), has been synthesized and structurally characterized by X-ray diffraction. The structure determination reveals that 1 has a 2D network, where each Cd(II) exhibits tetragonal antiprism (uncommon eight-coordinated mode) composed by four bisdentate-chelating carboxylic groups of different ODPA ligands. Moreover, three types of metal-ODPA helices give a 2D herringbone structural motif. The 2D framework stacked in a staggered manner through the [image omitted]-[image omitted] and hydrogen-bonded interactions to form a 3D porous supramolecular structure. Luminescent property for 1 is also discussed.
