摘要
The main objective of our research is to determinate the voltages induced by lightning discharge coupling to overhead power line and especially by the indirect strike. In this investigation, we are also discussing the effect of shielding wire in reducing overvoltages associated with strokes. Firstly, we introduce the electromagnetic field, radiated by lightning return-stroke current initiated at the ground level, which defines the source of electromagnetic disturbance. In order to determine this electromagnetic field, the hybrid method is used. Secondly, we present Agrawal coupling equations, which express the coupling of lightning wave and power line. The FDTD method is applied to solve the coupling equations in order to obtain the induced overvoltage. In the algorithm applied, it is assumed that the conductor lines are above the perfectly conducting ground. The algorithm has produced satisfactory results.
