摘要
This paper describes the structure of an artificial nose and its testing. The major difference to conventional electronic noses is, that an estimation of the odour intensity can be made besides the identification of odours. This is possible because a velocity measurement is added to the gas sensoring part and data are treated together in an artificial neural network. The gas sensors, the electronic components, and the artificial neural networks are described and tested.
