A 4-year-old girl with an unusual type of split cord malformation (SCM) is reported. She presented with a capillary hemangioma in the lumbosacral region. Computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging studies of the whole spinal axis revealed SCM. There was a Type 11 SCM at the L1 level and a dorsal bony septum at the S2 level. The conus medullaris terminated at the upper end of the L2 vertebral body. There was no tethered cord syndrome. There is no reported case to date of SCM with this malformation. She did not
