摘要
Stenotrophomonas maltophilia has been recently identified as an important cause of life-threatening infections in immunocompromised hosts or in patients admitted in intensive care units. This organism is usually resistant to multiple antimicrobial agents and it is widely susceptible to antibiotics as minocycline and quinolones not recommended in children. The Authors report their observation concerning an eight years old boy and confront it with the few literature reports.
