摘要
A landslide that occurred after heavy rainfall in colluvial deposits is investigated. In this case, a retaining wall at the toe of a slope ruptured, due to increased water pressure acting on the wall. This was followed by slope failure in the backfill. The physical situation of the slope-retaining wall system at failure is determined through field investigation. The equilibrium of the system is analyzed to back-calculate the groundwater level in the backfill of the retaining wall at failure. Based on this analysis, remedial works are proposed to stabilize the slope.
