摘要
Over the last decade, CRM investments slowed down considerably mainly due to expensive implementations with considerable human and capital requirements but not justifiable return on those investments. And this phenomenon is not just happening in big companies with substantial budgets, is also true in smaller medium enterprises as is evidenced by the popularity of hosted solutions. Now, the trend is to find ways to increase the leverage of previous investments by increased usage and automation, and along with it, the needs of increased integration with networks and other infrastructure have come around. This paper introduces the concepts of Network-IT integration that can help businesses realize increased value from their investments in Enterprise and IT software. The paper focuses on trends and patterns of Network-IT integration (also referred as extended enterprise) and the increased value of enterprise software for road warrior and remote employee segments. Some solutions already exist in the market in this space like Intelligent Call Routing, but this paper describes innovative applications of network-IT integration.
