摘要：
This paper discusses and outlines a perspective on regional innovation based on evolutionary theorizing. The discussions are organized as follows. Beginning with a brief review on the relationship between innovation and region sustainable development, the framework of the theoretical representation and evolution of regional innovation process are given. The paper mainly analyzes the structure, character and performance of regional innovation, and then explores three process of its evolution: namely, technological innovation, organizational innovation, institutional innovation and, finally, give a brief conclusion.
