Development of PACS in first affiliated hospital of SUMS and strategy for PACS development in China

摘要：
In China, the importance of medical image management system is recognized recently, the concept of PACS becomes more and more widely known. But till non; no hospital has a full hospital PACS in China, most hospitals are waiting for full-blown domestic applications of PACS. Under this situation, we commit ourselves to explore a way of developing PACS for Chinese hospitals. The radiology department in First Affiliated Hospital of SUMS is chosen as our proving ground. We made a series of PACS developing strategies firstly, and then, a mini-PACS has been implemented according those strategies. Currently, the mini-PACS is working very well and approved by specialist from SUMS. According the experience of mini-PACS, Suggestion for PACS Development strategy in China is given.
