摘要
In this paper, we present the design of a broadband, wide-angle, planar microstrip phased array antenna. The complete array is fabricated by multi layers printed circuit board (PCB) using commercial processes. In order to ensure that each 2x2 elements subarray can integrated with a four-output RF chips, the antenna elements are co-designed with a aperture transformation line. An array element with periodic boundary is simulated, the target operating frequency band of the designed antenna element is the licensed 5G millimeter-wave spectrum of 24.25-27.25GHz. Under a released requirement of preliminary optimized reflection coefficient, the array can achieve bandwidth from 24.25-27GHz with active VSWR<2.75. Beam-scanning ranges of the array are +/- 20 degrees in h-plane and +/- 60 degrees in H-plane.
