摘要
The attempt based on philosophy of education is made to define the position of psychology in educational process and psychologist's tasks according to the challenges facing education. The main task of school education can be represented as formation of students' broad social orientation in all areas of life. This problem is solved by pedagogical and psychological means; in light of the above practicing psychologist in education is engaged in the formation of students' adequate self-concept, realization of cognitive abilities, emotio-personal features of self and others. P.J. Galperin's general psychological theory of psyche's orienting nature serves as a theory able to solve this problem, thus it acquires the status of the fundamental theory, which has ideological, philosophical significance. It's particular psychological (psychotechnical) potential offers the real ways of school psychologists' practical activity.
