摘要
The impact of injection time (IT) and nano-biodiesel mix on the performance of the biogas introduced dual fuel engine (DFE) is studied while maintaining fixed injection pressure (IP). Algae oil methyl ester (ALGAEOME), its B20 blend (ALGAEOME B20), and its nano fuel blend (ALGAEOME B20 GO60) utilizing graphene oxide (GO) nanoparticles with a 60 mg dose are utilized as pilot injected fuels in the modified DFE, while biogas (purified) is used as the inducted fuel. The goal of this study is to improve the perfor-mance of a DFE as it suffers from lower BTE (Brake Thermal Efficiency) compared to single fuel operation. Higher emissions of diesel engine such as smoke and NOx can be effectively controlled using nano -biodiesel and gaseous fuel mixtures in the modified dual fuel engine. DFE with nano-biodiesel blends-biogas combination can effectively address the emissions of NOx are detected, as well as increase the brake thermal efficiency (BTE) with reduced emissions of carbon monoxide (CO), hydrocarbon (HC), and smoke respectively. Decreased Ignition delay (ID), and higher peak pressure (PP) are obtained. Because of the larger surface area of the GO nanoparticles infused ALGAEOME B20 mix, it resulted in higher improved combustion activity, enhancing the in-cylinder temperature and pressures and heat release rate (HRR). DF engine powered with renewable fuels such as biodiesel and biogas may help to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by partially substituting fossil fuels. Advancing the IT and utilizing nanoparticle-infused biodiesel reduces the smoke, CO, and NOx emissions of biogas powered DF engines and provides overall enhanced engine performance.Copyright (c) 2022 Elsevier Ltd.
