High efficiency and high output power fiber-optic parametric amplifier

摘要
A highly efficient fiber-optic parametric amplifier (FOPA) is presented. A nearly complete pump depletion of 99.92% in a single-pumped FOPA is experimentally demonstrated with a pump power of 1 W. In addition, a high signal output power of 0.53 W is presented, corresponding to a power conversion efficiency of 53%, which is believed to be the highest efficiency ever reported for an FOPA.
