摘要
On the territory of the former Ostrava-Karvina district there are hundreds of abandoned mines. Those have caused a number of incidents, mainly related to the releasing mine gas - methane CH4 to the surface. The release of mine gas depends on many natural, atmospheric and technical mining conditions. The most important factors causing or allowing uncontrolled release of mine air to the surface are tied to ending the coal mining in the mine and the measures following then: lowering of mine ventilation to its complete stopping, strong limitation and consequent ending of the mine degasification and limiting the mine water pumping with subsequent flooding of lower parts of the mine. The article aims at analyzing the safety risks related to the attenuation of coal mining. The main aim is to create a complex system of basic measurements bound to eliminate the risks of releasing mine gas from the mine to the surface.
