Polarization Multiplexing Modulation in Fiber-Optic Communication Lines

摘要
The possible losses are analyzed in prospective method of coherent polarization multiplexing. The losses associated with fully polarized and non-polarized components are considered. The adaptive method for compensation of non-polarized components is recommended. To eliminate the distortion caused by the rotation of the polarization plane of the received signals it is recommended to use circular polarizations.
