摘要
The purpose of this paper is to suggest a specific legislation for minor sources of health-care wastes. National and international legislations and a two-year statistic coming from 1700 professionals on a region of Argentina are analyzed here. In conclusion, every single health service without internment (medical and biomedical laboratories, out-patient clinics, drugstores, physicians offices, veterinaries, dental clinics, acupuncturists and other small health-care establishments) and the home treatment, which its monthly generation mean do not exceed 200 Kg, must be considered as minor sources of health-care wastes. It's also suggested that the small quantity generators should be excluded from the daily retirement of the health care wastes if they have a satisfactory disinfection method, an appropriate protective packaging, any acceptable method of innocuousness or any alternative technological treatment. Besides, there should not be required an intermediate storage room inside the establishment for minor sources of health-care wastes.
