Study on GIS-based urban earthquake disaster mitigation intelligent information system

摘要
Earthquake disaster is one of the most serious disasters, which may result in heavy casualties and economic losses, particularly when it occurs in or near the cities. The establishment of urban earthquake disaster mitigation information system by GIS is an important way to reduce the urban earthquake disasters effectively, which has been proved having good results in practical application. To improve the real-time performance and practicability of the systems and to serve better for the urban earthquake disaster mitigation, this study focus on particularly how to develop the urban earthquake disaster mitigation intelligent information system with the function of building earthquake disaster intelligent prediction, by properly using spatial analysis function of GIS. First, the three levels function of GIS spatial analysis and its application in urban earthquake disaster mitigation are analyzed in this paper. Through the analysis, the importance of the third level spatial analysis function of GIS is described; then a new building earthquake disaster prediction method is proposed, which can be properly used in GIS. This method is based on historical earthquake disaster and fuzzy mathematic theory; finally, we formulate the advantages of COM technology in developing the system. And by using COM technology, we integrate the function of building earthquake disaster intelligent prediction into the earthquake disaster mitigation system. Accordingly, the interfaces and functions of an illustrative system developed by the COM technology are introduced.
