MATHEMATICAL MODEL OF CLASS E AMPLIFIER BASED ON THE HARMONIC BALANCE METHOD

摘要
This work presents the application of harmonic balance method to the analysis of steady state mode class E amplifier using power tube. The mathematical model obtained by the harmonic balance method allows taking into account the finitude of RF choke and blocking capacitor values, as well as active element anode voltage drop in conducting state. The model does not use iterative methods of active element voltage calculation, which eliminates the convergence problem. The amplifier calculation procedure based on the given model allows increasing the accuracy of the amplifier elements values calculation. Due to that more accurate analytical calculation of the amplifier with given characteristics becomes possible.
