摘要
This paper is the second of two companion papers concerning the difficulties in applying the 'equivalent' static method for the seismic design of buildings which do not have a real elastic axis. We present the use of the fictitious elastic axis for the evaluation of the torsional effects in the said buildings, according to the code provisions. In the general case, the full seismic design is achieved by the use of three spatial analyses of the system, by means of which the location of the fictitious elastic axis is also identified.
