摘要
It is essential to empower your employees to be fully in charge of their work and still keep the control over what they are doing. This paper shows how this is achieved in the field of Internet of Things projects using the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) method and adequate Key Performance Indicators (KPI). Giving employees goals to reach in four major areas of their activity, financial, technical, customer relationships, internal goals, gives them a full overview of their work impact on the proper functionment of the business, thus empowering them to take full responsibility of their work. This paper familiarizes with the Internet of Things (IoT) Academic Program of an enterprise and shows how the Balanced Scorecard method is used to build its success in today's emerging IoT market. This IoT Academic Program is addressed to students, teachers and makers all around the world and aims at familiarizing them with IoT notions like microcontrollers, sensors, big data management etc, and the use of the IoT platform. Therefore this paper would bring a contribution to how the private sector can contribute to the improvement of today's IT education.
