摘要
We explore the pattern of frequency-dependent linear and non-linear optical (NLO) response of electron impurity doped quantum dots harmonically confined in two dimensions. For some fixed values of transverse magnetic field strength (omega(c)), and harmonic confinement potential (omega(0)), the influence of impurity location (x(0),Y-0) on the diagonal components of frequency dependent linear (alpha(xx) and alpha(yy)), and the first (beta(xxx), and beta yyy) NLO responses of the dot is computed through linear variational route. The non-linear polarizabilities undergo maximization at some typical oscillation frequency of the external field depending upon the impurity location. (C) 2010 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
