Performance degradation due to code tracking errors on a RAKE spread-spectrum receiver in the presence of unresolvable multipath

摘要
The effects of multipath and tracking error on a RAKE receiver have been analyzed in this paper. It has been shown that in the presence of unresolvable multipath, the RAKE receiver, formed by combining same samples that are used for tracking, is less sensitive to the tracking error, and that there is a wide range of tracking errors for which such receiver outperforms conventional receiver. Also, the effects of how interchip interference degrades performance of the proposed receiver have been examined.
