Success Criteria and Success Factors: It is critical to distinguish the meaning of both

The purpose of this editorial is to differentiate success criteria from success factors, which are confused by many students and practitioners. The concept of success and types of success will be discussed briefly, describing some criteria and then presenting some critical success factors. It is intended to make it clear that critical success factors can hinder or facilitate success. Besides, success depends on the perception of each stakeholder, who may have a different expectation and vary over time, so few clear criteria must be defined for success to be achieved and perceived.
