摘要：
A comprehensive review on the success and Critical Success Factors (CSFs) of total quality management (TQM) both at the factor and measurement level has been conducted. This study reveals that the definition of TQM success and CSFs at the factor level are rather ambiguous. The definition of TQM success is rather parochial and the criticality of CSFs can have different meanings depending on the research interests. Our study also identified the controversies among QM studies that might caused by the inappropriate use of measurement items. These controversies may cause difficulties in cross-study comparison and distortion in the dimensions of CSFs and their relationship with TQM success.
